Edison AARP members donate coupons which are sent to military families overseas at over 25 different bases. New or recently expired coupons, no more than four months old, are needed by military families. The club has sent thousands of coupons to military families overseas. Collecting for New Jersey Institute for Disabilities, the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County. They would also appreciate new or gently used children books, new socks; any size from infant to adult in solid colors.
Edison AARP collects books, magazines, puzzles, sample toiletries and cosmetics, new and used greeting cards, stamps, wrapping paper, and any CD's you are willing to part with. Members have also donated clothing, children's games, shoes, soft drinks, and yarn. Bring your donated items to a meeting
If you love to knit or crochet or would like to learn, consider joining the Knitting and Crocheting Club. The club meets every 3rd Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Stelton Community Center on 328 Plainfield Avenue, Edison (except June, July, August, December). If you are interested, see Kay at a meeting.
This active club has created afghans, lap robes, wheelchair pockets, shawls, adult hats, children's hats, scarves, headbands, baby hats and baby blankets. These items are donated to the J.F.K Hospital, Menlo Park Veterans Hospital, the Salvation Army, and the Job Core.

The Driver Safety course is a refresher course for drivers ages 50 and older. On Veterans Day AARP offers this course free to veterans.

Edison AARP members donate non-perishable food to the Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOOD). Members bring non-perishable food items to each meeting. The items are picked up by the food bank at each meeting. Over 1 ton of food is donated each year
